Survey and Analysis of Phenotypic Traits of Wild Jujube Germplasm Resources in Lvliang Mountainous Region

Abstract: 【Objective】 Wild jujube germplasm resources in Lüliang mountainous area were collected, and the diversity and correlation of their phenotypic traits were investigated and clarified, so as to provide a basis for the conservation and utilization of wild jujube germplasm. 【Methods】 A total of 121 wild jujube germplasm resources from Lüliang mountainous area were used as materials. Eleven phenotypic traits including annual shoot length and single fruit weight were measured. Comprehensive evaluation was carried out by significance analysis, correlation analysis and cluster analysis. 【Results】 The coefficient of variation of the 11 phenotypic traits ranged from 0.1186 to 0.7246. Among them, single fruit weight had the largest coefficient of variation (0.7246), and fruit shape index had the smallest (0.1186). All coefficients of variation were greater than 10%, indicating abundant phenotypic diversity. Correlation analysis showed that single fruit weight was extremely significantly positively correlated with fruit vertical diameter, fruit horizontal diameter, internode length of annual shoots, and internode number of fruiting shoots, and significantly positively correlated with fruit shape index and bearing shoot diameter. Cluster analysis divided the fruits of the 121 resources into five types: elliptical globose, globose, apple-shaped, pyriform and oblate. 【Conclusion】 The phenotypic traits of wild jujube germplasm resources in Lüliang mountainous area are rich in diversity. Single fruit weight is significantly correlated with many fruit and shoot traits. The tested resources can be divided into five main types according to fruit shape.
