Abstract:Voids behindthetunnelliningarchcausedbyconstructioncollapsewillresultinstressredistributioninthe surrounding rock.When thesurrounding rock in thevoid area becomes looseanddeteriorates duetoenvironmental influences, it maycauserock colapse,penetratingthe lining structureand seriouslythreatening train operationsafety.FLAC3Dwas used to simulatethelooseninganddeteriorationofthesurroundingrock,revealingthemechanical mechanismoflining block falingina railwaytunel,andthereinforcementmeasuresthatshouldbetaken.Teresultsindicatethattensilestressexistsinacertanarea of thesurroundingrockabovethetunnelliningvoid.Whenthelooseninganddeteriorationofthesurroundingrockcausetheplastic zonetoexpand totheareaabovethevoid,rock colapse mayoccur.Thepresenceofvoidsinthesuroundingrock abovethe tunnelliningaltesthestresstructureofthelining,reducingitssafetyfactor.Duringtheemergencyrepairprocess,theadoptio of emergency shotcreting and bolting measures reduced the plastic zone by 72.4% compared to conditions without such measures.
Moreover,asthestrengthoftheshoteretingandbolting parametersincreases,theareaoftheplasticzonegradualldecreases Theresearch findingscan providereference for emergencyrepair projects involving similar tunnel lining block faling incidents.
