Abstract：ObjectiveTo explore theeffectivenessofProfesor Zhong Chuanhua’s“combined internalandexternal therapy”in treatingpatientswithulcerativecolitis（UC）MethodsSixtypatientsmetingUCdiagnosticcriteriatreatedattheOutpatientDepart mentofKnmingHospitalofTraditionalChineseMedicinewereselected.Usingarandomnumbertable，patientsweredividedintotwo groups based on treatment method：a control group （ n=30 ）receiving Mesalazine enteric-coated tablets alone，and an observation group （ n=30 ）receiving oral Shenzhu Shuanghuang Decoction combined with Leibai Retention Enema Decoction.Both groups underwent a 2- month treatmentcourse. Clinical symptom scores，intestinal mucosal lesion scores （modified Mayo scoring system），andoverallclincalicacyrecomparedbeforeandterreatment.ResultsTebsevationgroupshowedsgnificantlygreaterprovmentinclinicalsymptomscorsandintestialmucosallesionscors.Thetotalfectiverateiteobservationgroupassignificantly higherthan that in the control group，indicatingastatistically significant difference（ P<0.05 ）.After treatment，the total effective rate was 90.00% in the observation group and 86.67% in the control group，both exceeding 80% indicating a statistically significant difference（ P<0.05 ）.Conclusion Profesor Zhong Chuanhua’s“combined internal and external therapy”efectively alleviates clinical symptoms，improvesintestinalmucosallsions，ndenancsthequalityoflifeinUCptients，withanoverallfavorablesafetyprofile.

溃疡性结肠炎（ulcerativecolitis，UC）又名慢性非特异性溃疡性结肠炎，是一种主要侵及直肠和结肠的黏膜层和黏膜下层导致其糜烂、溃疡的非特异性炎症，病变多累积直肠和乙状结肠，甚可累及整个结肠[1]。（剩余4977字）
