Abstract：ObjectiveTostudyand improvethequality standardfor Strobilanthessarcorhizus.Methods Theappearanceand characteristics of S .sarcorhizus were described. Qualitative identification of S.sarcorrhizus was performed using microscopic identification.Thin-layerchromatogaphy（TC）wasperformedforidentificationwithtereferencesubstanceofforsythiasideBasthontrol. AccordingtotegeneralprinciplsofteChineseParmacopoeia（22edition，Vol.4），thewaterconent，totalash，acidsoluble ash and water-soluble extract of S .sarcorrhizuswere determined. Thecontent determinationmethod for S .sarcorrhizuswas establishedusinghigh-performanceliquidchromatogaphy（HPLC），withforsythiasideBasthequalitycontrolindex.Thecontentofpolysaccharide wasdetermined byphenol-sulfuricacid method using D-glucose asreference substance.Results Thestructureof the fleshy roots of S ，sarcorrhizus belongs toafew cases of dicotyledonous roots，with large pith.Thepowder microscopic characteristics havethecharacteristicsofjasmineplants.TC methodwasspecificandsimple.Thewatercontent，totalash，acid-insolubleash， water-solubleextractive，thecontentofforsythiasideBandthecontentofpolysaccharideofallsamplesvariedintherangesof10. 4% （204号 -12.6 ， 3.9%-4.9% ， 0.05%-0.49% ， 67.1%-81.0% ， 0.11%-1.29% and 24.45%-52.67% ，respectively，the methodologicalinvestigationofcontentdeterminationmeetsterequirements.ConclusionTheestablishedmethodcanbeusedforquality control of S sarcorrhizus. The preliminary quality standard of S ：sarcorrhizus are as follows：the water content should not be higher than 14. 0% ，thetotalash should not behigher than 6.0% ，the water-soluble extract should not be lower than 60.0% ，the contentof forsythiasideB should not be lower than 0.37% ，and the content of polysaccharide should not be lower than 24.0% calculated 基金项目：温州市科技项目（Y20190197，N20210002）；温州市科协项目（2019KXCX－KT）。（剩余10166字）
