Analysis of Volatile Oils from Different Medicinal Parts of Murraya exotica L.by GC-MS

Abstract：ObjectiveToanalzethediferencesinchemicalcomponentsinthevolatileoilfromleaves，Twigs，andoldbranches ofMurrayexoticaLMetodThevolatileoilsfromvariousmedicinalpartsofMurraexoticaL.wereextractedusingsteamdistillation，andtheirchemicalcomponentswereanalyzedandidentifiedbyGC-MS.Result3Ocomponentswereidentifiedfromhevolatile oil of leaves，among which the ones with higher content were α- Zingiberene （18.77% ），β-caryophyllene（13.88 % ），α- Bergamotene （10.37% ），etc；32 components were identified from the volatile oil of twigs，among which the ones with higher content include α- Zingiberene （22.83% ）， β - caryophyllene （ 12.1% ），etc；19 components were identified from the volatile oil of old branches，amongwhich the ones with higher content include Spathulenol（ 15% ），Caryophyllene oxide （3.48% ），cis-Vaccenic acid （3.23% ），etc.Conclusion Thechemical composition similarity between the leaves and twigs of Murrya exotic L.is high， whilethechemicalcomposionoftevolatileilintheoldbranchsdiferssignificantlyfromthatintheothertwomedicinalparts. This result can provide a scientific basis for the development and utilization of Murraya exotica L..
