Vibration transmissibility and comfort of large-backrest-angle automotive seats

Abstract;Thisstudycoductedexpeimentontbrationtrasmissoncharacteriticsoftheumanodyitigonacaseatiae backrestclinationagleandivestigatedibrationcomfortTwelveparticipatseruitedtositinacarseat,wichwasofgedit bothanormalbackrestandalarge-anglebackrest.Theywereexposedtoverticalandlateralsingle-axisrandomvibrations.Vibration acelerationsweremeasudattevbratortable,theseatcuson,andthebackrest,alowingfortecalculationofseatrasmisiilt Aditionally,themagtdestimatiometodasusedtobtaintheartipants’subjectievbratiodscomfortTeexperieaalyd theinflueceofbaodectioatioampideandacstagoeatvibatirasmsibiltndsueiesore studyfoundthatunder verticalvibrationexcitation,comparedtothenomalbackrest,theresonancepeak frequencyandpeak valueof transisibilityatboththeseatcusonandbackrestincreasedwithtelargeanglebackrest.Underlateralvibrationexcitation,thefist resonancepeakvaeofbackresttrasmisibilitydecreasedwithtelarganglebackretVibrationcomfortatigsdreasdwitieasing vibration excitationamplitude forboth backrestconfigurations.When the total weighted acceleration was below 0.19ms2r.m.s. ,the comfort level with the normalbackrest waslower thanthat withthe large-anglebackrest;whenthe total weightedacceleration exceeded 0.19ms2r.m.s. , the comfort level with the normal backrest became higher than that with the large-angle backrest.
