Online identification method for cracks in low-speed rotating blades based on tip-timing technique

Abstract:Aimingattheproblemofonlineidentifiationofcracks inthemoving bladesoflow-spedturbomachinerysuchasmine ventilationfans(elowthefirst-orderfrequencyoftheblades),arecogntionmethodbasedontipimingvibrationmeasurementandtip displacementisproposedTedyamicdefomationcharacteristicsoftemovingbladesunderdiferentspeedsandcrackconditioswere analyzedtroughtheoreticalmodelingandfiniteeementsimulations,andthereltionshipbetweenthetiposetandthebadestatewas established.Acackientificatiotratesostructedbyompagteomeasudvaluofttipfseofthoingbladesih theoflinecalibratedvalus.Atestbenchforthecacktestoftemovingbladebasedonttiptimingpriniplewasdesigedandil,and 45groupsoftestswithdierentcrackpositions(bladetip,blade midle,andbladeroot)anddiferentcrack lenghs(the minmumrack length is 1/10 of the blade width)were carried out in the range of 500~3000r/min .The recognition accuracy of cracks with a size of 3mm or morereached 100% ,and the crack length recognition error was less than 5.33% underthe condition of havingprior knowledge of the crack location.hetestresultsshowtattepropoedmethodcanprovideanfectiesolutionforteoineidentificationofacksinlowspee moving blades.
