Design and experimental study of connecting rod hinge type nonlinear energy sink

Abstract:Toadresstheshortcomingsofmarinelinearvibrationabsorbers—includinginadequatelow-frequencyvibrationreduction performane,mitedenvironmentaladaptabity,andarowoperatingandwidthacoectingrod-hingednolieareergysink(NES) wasdesignedforbroadbandlinespectrumcontrolinmarinemechanicalequipment.ThedesignprinciplesoftheNESprototypewere elaborated,aditetalafotoasedhoosfoeietaarstfsabd coupledNESsystemwasmodeled,anditsdynamiccharacteristicswereanalyzedviatheincrementalharmonicbalancemethod,with comparisonsdrawtoanequivaentiearvibationabsorber.AsimulationtestbenchwasconstrctedforexperimentalvalidationResults demonstrate that the NES achieves vibration reduction exceeding 6 dB within the 8~22Hz frequency band,offering a technical approach for marine vibration control and significantly enhancing ship acoustic stealth performance.
