Optimizations on self-starting single-solve time integrators for structural dynamical responses

Abstract:Timeintegrationalgorithmsarewidelyusedaseficientnumericaltechniquesforanalyzingdynamicresponsesoflarg-scale structures.Amogousiteatos,eartigsingoleiteatosractedosidableetioutiliy Basedonanalytcalteciqesforomputingthadingtesofmpliudeeror,paseeo,anddispacemetocaltruncatiothe papersystematicallyotimiestheetypsofself-startingsingle-solvetieitegratorswithidenticalscondoderacuracy:iplicit algorithms,fullexplicitalgorits,andexplicitagoritsitmplittreatentofvelocity.Forimplicitalgorits,teotiized 0SS21* methodsignificantlyimprovesovershootingtendencyandhig-frequencydisipationcomparedtotheoriginalscheme,demostrating superioroverallpfomanceamongtheexistingscond-orderself-startingsingle-solveimplicitintegrators.Forexpicitagoritms,the updatingvelocityshme insolvingquilibrumequationsisoptimizedbyminimizingthesumofsquaredeadingtemsofampliudeand phase erors,hilefourtsoftialagoriicarameteseteedasdosplacentocaltcatiooalsiseproed (204号 GSSI* algorithmexhibitssmalerrelativeperioderrorsat thesamephysicaldampingatios,withthisadvantagebecomngmore pronouncedas dampingincreasesMoreoverunderequivalentdisipationlevels,itacheessigiantlyeterperodaccuracyantiginalethod Numericalexamplesvalidatethetheoreticalanalysis,confimingtheoptimizedintegrators’advantages inaccuracy,overst,and dissipation performance.
