Magnetorheological semi-active vibration isolation and experimental verification for reactor coolant pump

Abstract;Toovercomethelimitedbroadbandvibrationisolatiooftereactorcoolantpump(RCP)undervariableoperatigconditios,this paperproposesasemi-activecontrolstrategyusing magnetorheological dampers (MRD).First,acoupledsystemdynamicsmodel was establishedconsideringthelumped-maspropertiesofCPandthenonlinearhystereticbhaviorofMD.Then,asem-activecotrollaw basedontheskyhook dampingprinciplewassynthesizedtogenerate thecommandcurrentforMRD,therebyenablingreal-timedamping adaptationtoexcitationcharacteristics.Furthermore,thispapercomparesthevibrationisolatioperformanceoffourcases withinthe 10~60Hz (204 rangevianumicalsimulation:ucotroled,traditioalpasveontrol,pasiveotrol,andDkyoksm-activetrol Simulatiosdmostratetatelatietoaditioalpaietrolesokstratedesceleratiospoeatoceby 22.34dB,decsesloariictrasmissbilitintealy.andloeotansuartrasmsibilitytegraldB. Subsequently,anRCP-MDexperientalbench wasonstructedtoexperimentallvaidatetheontrolstrategyExperimentalvalidation confirmed that the averagerelative error between measured and simulated metrics is 8.45% ,confirming the effectiveness of the MRD skyhook strategforsuppressngRCPbroadbandvibrationundervariableoperatingconditiosanddemonstratingcloseagreementbetweensiulation andexperiment.ThefindingsdemonstratethattheMRDskyhoksemi-activestrategydynamicalladaptstoRCPvariableoperating conditions,therebyoferinganexperimentallyvalidatedsolutionforadaptivevibrationsuppressioninRCPsundervaableoerations.
