[Abstract]Critically ill patients often experience high glucose variability due to various factors， including trauma，surgery， stress， and illnessHealthcare professonals must enhance their capacity for meticulous glucose management in these patients， as it plays a crucial role in improving outcomes.The significance of glucose monitoring in the Intensive Care Unit （ICU） has become increasingly prominent.Continuous glucose monitoring （CGM）is atechnique that measures glucose concentration in the interstitial fluid of the patient's subcutaneous tissue，providing anindirectreflection ofblood glucoselevels.This methodaids inunderstanding a patient'soverall glucose status and supports effective glucose management.The advent of this technology suppliescomprehensive， continuous，andreliable allday glucose dataforcriticallyillpatients andtheir clinicians，garnering considerable attention in the field of critical care medicine.
