Effects of Levetiracetam on Cognitive and Electroencephalogram in Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorder Comorbidities Epileptiform Discharges/./Medical Innovation of China， 2025， 22（12）： 060-064

[Abstract]Objective： To investigate the effects of Levetiracetam on cognition and electroencephalography in childrenwith neurodevelopmentaldisordercomorbidities epileptiform discharges.Method：A totalof 10o clinical children with neurodevelopmental disorder comorbidities epileptiform discharges treated in Ganzhou Women and Children's Health Care Hospital from January 2019 to June 2023 were selected and divided into two groups according randomnumbertable method， with 50cases ineachgroup.Thecontrolgroup was treated withTiapride and Haloperiol，andtheobservation groupwastreated withLevetiracetamonthebasisofcontrol group.Theimprovement of electroencephalographyincidenceofepilepsycognitivefunction，qualityoflifeandincidenceofadverseeactions betwen the two groups were compared.Result： The total effective rate of improvement electroencephalography in observation groupwashigher than that in control group，andthe incidence of epilepsy was lowerthan that in control group， the differences were statistically significant （ P <0.05）. Before treatment， there were no significant differences in cognitive function and quality of life between the two groups （ P>0.05 ）. After treatment， the scores of all dimensions of Gesell development diagnosis scale （GDDS）andthe pediatric quality of life inventory version 4.0 generic core scale （PedsQL4.0）inobservationgroup were higherthanthose incontrol group，the differences were statistically significant 0 P <0.05）.There was no significant diffrence in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups （ P >0.05）. Conclusion：Levetiracetam hasa significanteffectontreatingchildren withneurodevelopmentaldisordercomorbidities epileptiformdischarges，itcan improve electroencephalogram，reducetherisk of epileptic seizures， promotecognitive function and improve quality of life， and has high safety.
