[Abstract]Objective：To observe the eicacy and safety of Shuanghuanglian Granules combined with Cefuroxime， Vitamin Cforacute pharyngitis with pattern of external contraction of wind-heat.Method：A total of 60 patients with acute pharyngitis with pattern of external contraction of wind-heat admitted to Beijing Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from November 2023 to July 2024 were selected as the study objects and randomly divided into experimental group and control group， with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional treatment （Vitamin C+ Cefuroxime）， and the experimental group was given Shuanghuanglian Granuleson thebasisof thecontrol group.Theclinical efficacy，pharyngodyniaand TCM symptoms scores， inflammatory factors [C reactive protein （CRP）interleukin-6 （IL-6）]before and after treatment， and theincidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result：The total efective rate were 100% in both groups. The clinical recovery rate of experimental group was higher than that of control group （ P- <0.05）.After treatment，visualanalogue scale （VAS）of pharyngodynia and TCMsymptoms scores of experimental group were lower than those of control group （P<0.05） . After treatment， CRP and IL-6 in experimental group were lower than those in control group （P<0.05） . There were no drug-related adverse reactions in both groups.

Conclusion：Shuanghuanglian Granules combined with Cefuroxime， Vitamin Cis effective in the treatment of acute pharyngitis with pattern of external contraction of wind-heat， which can effectivelyalleviate the pharyngodynia symptom and inflammatory reaction， and has high safety.
