Abstract：Thedigital eraisanewage wheredata servesasaproductionfactor.Itraises modernrequirements forupholdingthe Party'somprehensiveleadershipundertesocialistsystemwithChinesecharacteristisinthenewperiod，specificallthePartysgovernance ofdatainacordance withthelaw.TheParty’sgovernanceofdatanotonlyemphasizes“managing”databutalsorequires“governing"it.TedigitalsocietydeterinestecontemporarysignificanceoftheParty’sgovernanceofdatainacordancewiththelaw， which notonlyepresentsanewexpansionofupholdingtheParty’scomprehensiveleadershipinthenewpriodbutloconsitutesanera -defiingchallngeforadvancingtheruleoflawacrossalldomains.ThemodernpathoftheParty’sgovermanceofdata inacordance withthelawintigialealsinteetielawsfataelemnts，teopatioalechanisfarketooydplial esenceofwhole-processpeoplesdemocracyInthelongrun，theParty’sgovernanceofdatainacordancewiththelawinthedigital eraessentiallyconstitutesacrucialapproachtoxploringtheChinesepathtomodernizationuderthesocialistsystemwithChinsear acteristics.
