Abstract： In view ofthe problemsof water resource shortage and low eficiency in waterand energy saving，this paper presents anautomated designofa water-saving system based on the S7-12oo PLC.The system hardware mainlyconsists of S7- 1200 PLC，turbinefowsensors，ultrasonic sesors，pressure transmiters，solenoidvalves，pumppeedregulatorsandpus.The softwarecompletes thecontrolprogramdesignand HMIconfiguration throughtheTIAPortal platform.Withthe S7-1200PLC asthecontrolcore，thesystemincorporatesthePDalgorithmtoachieveprecisecontroloverfowrate，liquidlevelandpressure as wellasreal-time monitoringand inteligent regulationof water consumptionprocess，therebysatisfying the application requirements of water-saving system.
