Abstract： The paper provides a detailed explanation of the research and application of automatic counting，steel separation，andre-inspectionsystems forrebarbarsinthecontextof thecurrentdeepening ofsmart manufacturinginthe steel industry.Inorder to improve the accuracyof rebar counting technology，through comprehensive researchand applicationof imag recognition，intellgent calculationandother technologies，thesystem hasachieved the functions ofonline automatic real-timecountingofthenumberofbars inthe productionprocessofrebarbars，automaticallysortingtheproducts basedon the countingresults，nd performingbundlere-inspectiononthepackagedfinished steelproducts.This ensures thattheonline automatic counting accuracy of bars is over 9 9 % ，providing strong technical support and assurance for the delivery of finished rebar counting.
