[Abstract]ObjectiveToinvestigate theapplicationefectof theself-managementinterventionregimen basedon intervention mapping incommunity-dwelingelderly patients withtype2diabetes melltus.MethodsTheconvenience sampling method wasused toselect82elderlypatients withtype2diabetes melituswhoatendedtwocommunityhealthservicecentersinQingdao， China from March to August 2023，and they were dividedinto groups basedonthecommunity.Thepatientsinthecontrol group received routine nursing，and thoseintheobservation groupreceivedtheself-management interventionregimen basedoninterventionmapping inadition toroutinenursing.Theself-managementbehaviorscaleforpatientswithdiabetes，thediabetesspecific qualityoflifescale，andthediabeticdistressscalewereusedtoevaluatetheefectof intervention.ResultsAt1and3monthsof intervention，comparedwiththecontrolgroup，theobservationgrouphadasignificantlyhigherscoreofself-managementbehavior scale and significantly lower scores of the quality of life scale and the diabetic distress scale （Wald χ2=6.262-30.671，P<0.05） ConclusionTheself-managementinterventionregimenbasedoninterventionmappingcanstrengthenself-managementincommunity-dwelling elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
