Impact of Digital Economy Development on Labor Force Spatial Mobility

Perspective of Decision-making on Location Selection of Migration Populatior

Abstract： Based on the development level of digital economy with the China Migrants Dynamic Survet data from 20ll to 2Ol7，the Logit model was used to research the impact of digital economy development on labor spatial mobility. The results show that the improvement of the development level of a city's digital economy significantly increases the probability of migrant workers choosing to work in that area. Mechanism analysis reveals that the development of digital economy can promote spatial mobility of labor by optimizing industrial structure，improving technological innovation，and adjusting labor skill structure. Heterogeneity analysis finds that females， those with higher education levels， first tier cities，rural labor，and those engaged in digital occupations are more likely to experience spatial mobility.
