Closed-loop Supply Chain Decision-making with Uncertain Recycling Quality

Based on Carbon Tax and Government Subsidy

Abstract: The Stackelberg game method was used to explore and compare the decisionmaking and profit situation of all parties in the supply chain under the three subsidy mechanisms of government subsidies for manufacturers, government subsidies for retailers, and double subsidies for both. The impacts of the recycling quality threshold coefficient, quality cost coefficient, carbon tax rate, and government subsidy strategies on the supply chain decision-making were analyzed. Results reveal that the quality of recycled products directly influences recycling prices and volumes set by manufacturers and retailers. Manufacturer profits exhibit higher sensitivity to recycled product quality, and optimizing quality significantly enhances economic benefits across the supply chain. Government subsidy recipients and coefficient variations trigger profit fluctuations, necessitating careful consideration of beneficiaries and subsidy levels to maximize outcomes. Carbon taxes can encourage supply chain actors to recycle waste, boosting market penetration of remanufactured goods.
