Effect of Drg2 on IRI-mediated Cardiomyocyte Pyroptosis

Abstract: The regulatory role of GTP-binding protein 2 (Drg2) on I/R-induced cardiomyocyte death was investigated using a primary cardiomyocyte hypoxia/reoxygenation IRI model constructed in suckling mice. In this model, myocardium-specific Drg2 was knocked down and overexpressed to explore the regulatory mechanism of Drg2 in cardiomyocyte death. The results show that knockdown of Drg2 inhibits IRI-mediated cardiomyocyte death,whileoverexpression of Drg2 promotes the elevation of the expression levels of inflammatory factors IL ⋅1β ,IL-18,and lactate dehydrogenase. Drg2 may play a protective role against myocardial IRI by regulating key factors of the cardiomyocyte death pathway.
