Research on Digitization of Higher Education Influence the Training of Innovative Talents : Based on the Knowledge Spillover Mechanism

Abstract:Digitalization is profoundly and rapidly changing the training of innovative talents in higher education.This paper constructs the integration framework of economic digitalization and higher education digitalization,and empirically studies the impact of digitalization development on the training of innovative talents based on the knowledge spillover mechanism. The study finds that education digitalization has an inverted U-shaped impact on the increase of the number of innovative talents,and has an inhibitory effect on the optimization of the structure of innovative talents. The mechanism test shows that knowledge spillover under the background of digital development is an important intermediary mechanism affecting the training of innovative talents. The integration of industry and education driven by industry mentors is also an important driving force to support the training of innovative talents. In view of the reality that the current digital development level of higher education in China still cannot meet the needs of innovative talents training,and there is a large gap in the digital development of higher education between regions,it is suggested to accelerate the digital transformation of higher education,strengthen the introduction of teachers with a doctor's degree or above and industry mentors, so as to meet the demand of innovative talents for the development of new quality productivity.
