Empowering the Development of New Quality Productivity with the Innovation Source Capacity of Higher Education Institutions: Theoretical Logic,Key Issues and Practical Paths

Abstract:Innovation source capability is a concentrated manifestation of original innovation capability, and it is also the driving force source of new quality productivity.“The innovation generation capability of universities”is an important ability that supports universities in facing the world's scientific and technological frontiers and the major demands of the country,and promoting the construction of a science and technology power nation. Starting from the concept of the innovation source capability of universities and its logical relationship with new quality productivity,the research and analysis reveal that the development of the innovation source capability of Chinese universities faces key issues such as how to solve the problem of regional imbalance in the development of universities in different regions,and how to establish a wel-organized research mode for universities,a mechanism for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements,and a system for talent cultivation and utilization. Targetedly, the main paths proposed include deepening the reform of university science and technology systems, constructing an organized research system oriented by major demands, promoting high-quality transformation of university scientific and technological achievements,and adopting a market-oriented model for talent cultivation and utilization. These main paths are aimed at solving the above key problems and forming a favorable situation where the innovation generation capability of universities empowers the development of new quality productivity.
