Abstract：Crop diseases areadverse factors in agricultural production，which can cause damage to crop quality and yield，or eventotal cropfailure.Visible light imaging technology has the advantages of simple andeasyoperation，low cost and high effciency，and has becomea key technical means in crop diseasedetection.This paper summarized the general pathogenesisofcropbiostress diseases，andthebiological basisof visiblelightimagerecognitionofcropdiseases.Inaddition，combined with the applicationof visible light image features incrop disease detectionandrecognition，this paper summarized wo common visible lightimage disease symptomevaluation indicatorsof texture featuresandcolor features，and generalizedtheadvantagesandlimitationsofdiferentcolorfeaturesandtexturefeaturesinidentificationofcropdisease symptoms throughvisiblelight imagerecognition.Finall，the problems inresearchesofevaluationindicators forcropdiseasesymptoms based on visible lightimage features were proposed，and the prospect wasput forward to providereference forthe constructionof moreaccuratecrop disease evaluation index system as wellas detection and identification model.
