Analysis of campus network traffic behavior integrating NetFlow and SDN

Abstract：Tomaintainthestableoperationofthenetworkwithinthecampus，thispaperproposesacampus networktaffic behavioranalysismethodintegratingNetFlowandSDN.NetFlowtechnologyisusedtocolectthenetworktraffcdatawithinthe campus，andthecolecteddataundergoescaching，transmisson，timeoutrelease，anddataencapsulation.TheSDNcontroleruses thetraffcdataprocessedbyNetFlowtechnologyasthedatasource，extractstraffcfeaturesanddetectsabnormalbehaviors， ultimatelyachievingacomprehensiveanalysisofthenetworktraficbehaviorwithinthecampus.Experimentalresultsshowthat thismethodcanefectivelyidentifyvariousabnormalbehaviorssuchasDDoSatacks，IoTanomalies，ARPspofing，witha detection rate exceeding 95% .In 10 tests，the false negative rate iswithin 1% inall cases，and the detection time is around 500 seconds.Thismethodnotonlyefectivelyidentifiesabnormalnetworktrafficbehaviorsbutalsohashighdetectioneiciency making it suitable forprecise detection and security protection of the network traffc in the campus.
