An empirical study on the application effectiveness of TBL teaching mode based on Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment guidelines in the standardized residency training for Chinese medicine practitioners

[Abstract]Objective To evaluate the applicationefectivenessof team-based learning（TBL）model basedon Chinese medicinediagnosisandtreatmentguidelinesinthestandardizedresidencytrainingofChinesemedicinepractitioners.Methods Ninety-nineChinesemedicineresidentsundergoingstandardizedresidencytrainingatChangshaHospitalof TraditionalChinese Medicine from 2023 to 2024 were randomly assigned to control group （ n 49，receiving conventional training） and intervention group 0 n =5O，receivingTBLteachingmodel basedonChinesemedicinediagnosisandtreatmentguidelines）.Trainingoutcomesand learningexperienceswerecomparedbetweenthetwogroupsaftertheintervention.Residentswerefurthercategorizedintohighperformancegroupandgeneral-performancegroup basedonthetrainingoutcomes.Multivariateregressionanalysiswasconducted toidentifythefactorsinfluencingtrainingoutcomes.Results Theinterventiongroupsignificantlyoutperformedthecontrolgroupin the training outcomes and the teaching experience ratings （both P<0.05 ）.Multivariable regression analysis confirmed the TBL model basedon Chinese medicine diagnosisandtreatment guidelinesasan independent predictorof superior training outcomes（ P <0.05）. Conclusion TBL modelbasedonChinesemedicinediagnosisandtreatmentguidelinescansignificantlyenhance thetraining outcomesof Chinesemedicineresidencyprograms.Thisapproachshowsstrongpotential forbroader implementationin Chinese
