An empirical study on the application effectiveness of TBL teaching mode based on Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment guidelines in the standardized residency training for Chinese medicine practitioners

[Abstract]Objective To evaluate the applicationefectivenessof team-based learning(TBL)model basedon Chinese medicinediagnosisandtreatmentguidelinesinthestandardizedresidencytrainingofChinesemedicinepractitioners.Methods Ninety-nineChinesemedicineresidentsundergoingstandardizedresidencytrainingatChangshaHospitalof TraditionalChinese Medicine from 2023 to 2024 were randomly assigned to control group ( n 49,receiving conventional training) and intervention group 0 n =5O,receivingTBLteachingmodel basedonChinesemedicinediagnosisandtreatmentguidelines).Trainingoutcomesand learningexperienceswerecomparedbetweenthetwogroupsaftertheintervention.Residentswerefurthercategorizedintohighperformancegroupandgeneral-performancegroup basedonthetrainingoutcomes.Multivariateregressionanalysiswasconducted toidentifythefactorsinfluencingtrainingoutcomes.Results Theinterventiongroupsignificantlyoutperformedthecontrolgroupin the training outcomes and the teaching experience ratings (both P<0.05 ).Multivariable regression analysis confirmed the TBL model basedon Chinese medicine diagnosisandtreatment guidelinesasan independent predictorof superior training outcomes( P <0.05). Conclusion TBL modelbasedonChinesemedicinediagnosisandtreatmentguidelinescansignificantlyenhance thetraining outcomesof Chinesemedicineresidencyprograms.Thisapproachshowsstrongpotential forbroader implementationin Chinese
