[Abstract]Ulcerativecolitis（UC）isachronicnon-specificinflammatoryboweldiseaseprimarilyaectingthecolonic mucosaandsubmucosa.Macrophagesplayacrucialroleinregulatingtheintestinalmicroenvironmentandinflammatoryresponse duringUCprogresion.The"armfulhyperactivityandrespondinginhbition"theoryoneofthecoretheorisinChinesemdicine， systematicallelucidatesthedynamicequilibrumofengenderingandrestrainingrelationships withintheumanbody，thnatureof pathologicalimbalance，anditsevolutionarypaterns，providingkeyguidingprinciplesforclinicalpaterndiferentiationand treatmentSpleendeficiencywithimpairedtransportationleadstowater-dampnessretentionandinterminglingoftheclearand turbidphases.Prolongedretentioncauses depresiontransformingintoheatandtoxins，resultinginturbidityandtoxincongesting theintestinalfuoganrodingtheiposemembraneandollteralsndausingorruptionofiandbood，tereyfogew pathogenicfactorsthatdamagethebodyThispathogenesiscloselycorrespondstothepathologicalmechanismsobservedinUCin whichashiftinintestinalmacrophagepolarizationfromtheM2totheM1phenotypetrigerssignificantdamagetotheintestinal mucosalbarreeesivepructiodeaseofimatordatrsboalgegatindifiatinofieell， anddisruptionofthestructuralandfunctionalintegrityoftheintestinalepithelium.Basedonthe"harmfulhyperactityand respondinginhibition”theorythefundamentaltreatmentprincipleof"strengtheningthespleenandtonifyingqitoenhanceits restrainingfunction，andremoving toxinsandtransfoming turbiditytosuppress hyperactivepathogenicfactors"hasben established.ThisappoachaimstorebalanceM1M2macrophagepolarization，restorethehomeostasisoftheintestinal microenvironmentandaleviateintestinalinflammationandmucosalinjuryterebypotentiallyoeringanovelstrategyforthe clinical prevention and treatment of UC.
