Pathogenesis and treatment of hormone-dependent dermatitis based on theory of "yin fire and Yuan-primordial qi are intrinsically opposed"

[Abstract]Hormone-dependentdermatitis （HDD）isaninflammatoryskindisorderinducedbyprolongedtopicalcorticosteroid use，characteredbykindness，papules，uingsnsationswelingndpaiIninesemedicine，orticosteroidfallder thecategoryof"medicinaltoxin."Theirdryandpotentnaturecan damagethespleenand stomachanddisrupttheharmony betweenthelungandkidney，leadingtoinsufcientgenerationofYuan-primordialqi（rotdeficiency）Concurrntlytinteal retentionofthismedicinaltoxintransforsintofire，whichintertwineswithampne-heatresutinginelingeringofyinfirea deficiencyfireresultingfromweaknessofthespleenandstomachandinsuficientYuan-primordialqi）（branchexcess）.This ultimatelygivesrisetoapattofrootdeficiencyandbranchexes，manifestingas"infireprevailingoverYuan-primordialqi" Therapeuticinterventionshouldaddressboththebranchandtherootmanifestations.Therottreatmentfocusesonrestoring the distributionofqi，blood，andbodyfluidsbystrengtheningthesplenandstomachandregulatingthelungandkidneyto preemptivelyrepairing theirdamage.Thebranchtreatmenttargetsthepathologicallinksofmedicinaltoxintransformingintofire， dampness-heataccumulation，anddeficiencyfireinteraldisturbancebyaplyingthe"Three MethodsforTreatingFire"：cooling bloodandreducingfire，clearingdampness-at，andrestrainingdeficiencyfire.ByconcurentlyculivatingYuan-primodialqiand treatingpathologicalfire，yifireissubduedwhileYuan-primordialqiisestored.Tisaproachprovidesaclasicaltoretical framework and novel therapeutic insights for TCM diagnosis and treatment of HDD.
