Abstract: This paper aims to explore how to effectively integrate ideological and political education into the teaching of Principles of Statistics. First, the paper analyzes the necessity and feasibility of implementing classroom ideology reform in this course, pointing out that ideological education in this course can strengthen students' social responsibility and values while improving their understanding and application of statistical theory. Second, through the exploration of both explicit and implicit ideological and political education elements and case studies, the paper demonstrates specific implementation strategies, including how to organically combine ideological elements with course content and how to introduce social issues and humanistic care into the teaching of statistics. Finally, by comparing the teaching outcomes before and after the reform, the paper validates the positive impact of classroom ideology reform on improving teaching quality, stimulating student interest, and cultivating students'overall qualities. This study aims to provide theoretical support and practical reference for the ideological education reform in statistics and other professional courses.
