Abstract: The teaching reform of the course of Introduction to Mineral Resources was introduced in these study. The course has a wide range of teaching content, teaching bachelor cut, teaching methods dull and other deficiencies, We proposed the use of mineral specimens, modern multimedia technology, research support software into the classroom, citing global classic cases, the establishment of knowledge mapping, teacher-student role exchange and research for teaching and other teaching innovations to improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching. Through exploration and practice in the 2019-2024 academic year, it has been shown that the new teaching method has achieved significant results, with more vivid and vivid teaching content, more active classroom atmosphere, and effective cultivation and improvement of students' scientific research awareness, engineering practice, and innovation ability. The new teaching method not only improves the teaching quality of the course, but also stimulates students' interest and enthusiasm for the major, laying a solid theoretical foundation for future research and work.
