[Abstract]Inrecent years,with the rising pressure faced by people,mental health problems have become progressively conspicuous.Theprevalenceofmentalilnesshasbeenincreasingannuallonaglobalsale,anditspotentialroleinperio dontal disease development has graduallyatractedacademic atention.Abnormal mental states can initiate various physiologicalresponses,includinghypothalamic-pituitary-adrenalaxisover-activation,autonomicnervoussystemimbalance, and immune system dysfunction.These responses are involved in the regulation of periodontal tisse health byaffecting bone formation,bacterial virulence,vascular function,and immuneresponses.Furthermore,numerous studies have indicatedthattheuseofpsychotropic medications hasacertain impactonperiodontal health.However,current researchon therelationshipand mechanisms between the tworemains limited.This studysystematicall elucidates the multifaceted mechanisms through which mental disorders regulate periodontal health via the neuro-endocrine-immune network.It alsoincorporates psychotropic medications into the therapeutic discourse onperiodontal disease management.The findings aimtoprovidea theoretical foundation for developing interdisciplinary preventionand treatment strategies integrating mental and oral healthcare.
