[Abstract]ObjectiveToassess thefactors influencing the eficiencyofmaxillary expansionduring clearaligner treatment (CAT).MethodsA total of 54 nonextraction CAT patients undergoing maxilary expansion were selected. Baseline data werecollcted,andcrown lengthswere measuredviacone-beamcomputed tomography(CBCT).Amodeloverlap was used to measure the maxillary expansion eficiency and torque changes.Linear analysis was performed to identify factorsinfluencing expansion efficiency.ResultsSingle-factor linearanalysisrevealedthatmaxilaryfirst-molarexpansionefficincywassignificantlyinfluenced byage,rootlength,crown-rootratio,atachmentdesign,designedandactual expansion amount, actual torque changes,and designed-actual torque changes (P<0.05) .Stepwise multivariate linear analysis identified thecrown-rootratio,atachment design,nd designedandactual expansionamountassignificantlyaffectingmaxillary first-molar expansion efficiency (P<0.05) .Conclusion During CAT expansion treatment,to the focus shouldbeon the patient’scrown-rotratio.Bilateral atachment designandcarefulconsiderationof expansion amount limits in treatment planning are crucial to enhancing patient expansion efficiency.
