[Abstract]Boneaugmentation hasbeen extensivelyused indental implanttreatments，butitsefectonseverelyatrophiedalveolarridges is poor.On the basis of theliterature review，we dividethecommonlyused boneaugmentation surgery into fourcategories basedonthe diferent positionofsupporting structures，summarize the advantages and disadvantagesofeach boneaugmentation technique，and elaborateonitsapplicationprospects incombinationwithclinical explorations.Webelievethattheindirectcentralsupportinthesecondsubclassofthesecondcategoryhas broad prospects，and a newboneaugmentationsurgerybasedontheconceptof“indirectcentralsupport"isconsideredtobe designed.The exploration，development，andappicationofcentral supportboneaugmentationcould increasethenumberofboneaugmen tationprocedures，providingnewsurgical strategies for boneaugmentation.
