[Abstract]Cemento-osseous dysplasia （COD）is arelativelycommon fibro-osseous lesion thatoccurs in the tooth-bearingareasofthejaw，occasionallfound inthealveolarboneofedentulousareas，posingchalenges fortheselectionand designofimplanttreatments.Radiologicalexaminationsare crucialforthe diagnosisofCODandarethemainmeans of follow-up.This paper summarizes the clinical，radiographic，and pathological features of CODand analyzes reported cases of successul and failed implants，suggesting that COD is usually not a contraindication for dental implantation.On the basisof theseanalyses，treatmentrecommendations forimplantationin thisspecificconditionareproposedto increase the success rate of implant treatments of patients with COD.
