Classification and Selection for Underwater Cable Laying Robots

Abstract： A subsea cable burial robot is a high-end marine intelligent equipment specifically designed for "trenching + cable burial" operations on the seabed， referred to as a subsea trencher for short. Subsea cable burial robots come in various types，and multiple factors such as operating water depth，seabed sediment conditions， trenching depth，trenching efficiency，and economic efficiency aect their selection.This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantagesofdiferent types ofsubseacableburialrobots，and proposes selectionsuggestions for cable burial robots suitable for different operating scenarios and working conditions.
