Research on Integrated Layout of Ship Dock Blocks and Ship-Moving Brackets

Abstract:The construction of ships on horizontal slipways involves two key stage technologies: block arangement and erection,and ship moving using stee bracket trolleys. Concrete blocks often hinder the positioning of steel brackets before ship moving,especially in the narrow flat-bottomed areas atthe bowand stern of the ship, resulting ina large amount of block removal work.To address this problem,an integrated hybrid layout scheme of steel brackets and concrete blocks is proposed through finite element stressanalysis.The ship-moving steel brackets also serve as dock blocks,which reduces the number of dock blocks,lightens the workload of block arangement and removal, eliminates the block removal process during ship moving,simplifes the operation process, improves the efficiency of layout and ship moving, and shortens the slipway construction cycle.
