Multi-Ship Coupled Hydrodynamic Analysis of Floating State Docking of Spud Legs for Self-Elevating Wind Power Installation Platform

Abstract: Due to the excessive length of the spud legs oftheself-elevating installtion platform,it is impossible to complete the dockingand installationof the spud legs inthedock.Therefore,the process is divided into thelower spud leg docking inthe dock and the upper spud leg docking at the wharf.Based on the analysis of the docking and installation processflow,this paper conducts a multi-ship coupled hydrodynamic analysis during the floating state docking ofthe spud legs ofthe self-elevating platform.The results show thatthe lifted spud leg section significantly increases the motion of the floating crane vessel and the platform. Under the given wind,wave and current environment, the vertical safe distance between the lifted spud leg section and the platform is 2m ,which can provide support for the safe construction of the self-elevating installation platform.
