Study on Hydrodynamic Coupling Mechanisms and Safety Countermeasures for Warship Navigation in Restricted Waters

Abstract: To address the special risks of warships navigating in narrow channels, this paper systematically studies the influence mechanisms of navigation waves,bank efects,and ship-ship interaction efects on warship maneuvering,starting from the unique hullform characteristics,misson requirements,and maneuvering properties of warships.A safety countermeasure system for warship navigation in narrow channels based on the "risk identification-decision-making-control" framework is proposed.The research shows that the slender hullform, multi-propeller and multi-rudder configuration,and high maneuverability requirements of warships make them more sensitive to narrow channel effects,requiring the establishment of targeted safe maneuvering strategies.The research results can provide theoretical guidance and practical reference for the navigation safety of warships in narrow channels.
