Taking the garden living activities in private gardens in Chang'an during the Tang Dynasty as the research object，this paper uses quantitative text analysis methods such as semantic analysisand word frequencystatistics.Byanalyzing576 documents related to 482 private gardens in Tang Chang'an，1 124 pieces of garden activity information were extracted to explore the types and seasonal distribution characteristics of these activities，while delving into the wisdom of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.The resultsindicate that garden activities in Chang'an during the Tang Dynasty were rich and varied，which canbe categorized into four types： daily routines，leisure pursuits，banquets， and excursions.Among these，sightseeingactivitiesaccounted for the most significant proportion， with spring and autumn being the peak seasons， reflecting significant seasonal characteristics and the wisdom of living in accordance with nature and time.Based on these findings，this study suggests that contemporary garden heritage conservation should emphasize multifunctional living spaces to restore their essence as living domains; highlight dynamic seasonal changes to showcaseancient garden dwellers'adaptation to time;and utilize digital technologies to recreate ancient garden activities and typical scenes，offering immersive experiences forenhanced heritage conservation.
