Study on the Growth Effect of Cunninghamia lanceolata -Castanopsis hystrix Mixed Forest and Pure Forest

Abstract In order to explore thebest regeneration model for Cumminghamia lanceolata forest clearings,a comparative experiment of Cumminghamia lanceolata - Castanopsis hystrix mixed forest,Castanopsis hystrix pure forest and Cunninghamia lanceolata pure forest was carried out on the Cumninghamia lanceolata forest clearings. Through the investigation of l3-year-old different stands,the results showed thatcompared with Cunninghamia lanceolata pure forest,the average treeheight,DBH and individual volume of Cunninghamia lanceolata in Cunninghamia lanceolata -Castanopsis hystrix mixed forest increased by 13.35%,15.05% and 45.45% ,respectively. Compared with Castanopsis hystrix pure forest,the average tree height,DBH and individual volume of Castanopsis hystrix in Cun 1 ninghamia lanceolata - Castanopsis hystrix mixed forest increased by 3.01%,6.24% and 11.94% ,respectively. Compared with Cunninghamia lanceolata pure forest and Castanopsis hystrix pure forest,the volume per unit area of Cunninghamia lanceolata - Castanopsis hystrix mixed forest increased by 29.54% and 27.75% respectively. The liter in the mixed forest was thicker than that in the pure forest,and the temperature in the mixed forest was higher than that in the pure forest.The soil porosity and water holding capacity of mixed forest were higher than those of pure forest,and the soil fertility was better than that of pure forest.
