Teaching reform of integration of virtual and real mixed pediatric nursing practice based on ISD

Abstract    Objective:To explore the reform and effectiveness of virtual⁃real integrated blended teaching in pediatric nursing based on the ISD model.Methods:The ISD model was utilized to implement the reform of pediatric nursing blended training teaching that integrates virtual and real elements.The teaching practice was conducted among 140 students majoring in midwifery in higher vocational education, and an evaluation of its effectiveness was completed after its conclusion. Results:The total score of the practical training assessment for the 140 students was 90.76±3.26,and the students' learning engagement,overall academic achievement scores,and scores across all dimensions were significantly higher than those before the implementation of the teaching (P<0.05).Based on the students' learning experiences,four themes were extracted:meeting individualized learning needs, enhancing job cognition, consolidating practical training skills,and boosting learning confidence.Conclusion:The reform of pediatric nursing virtual⁃real integrated blended training teaching based on the ISD model can enhance students' learning experience, improve teaching effectiveness, increase students' learning engagement, and enhance their academic achievement.
