Abstract Objective:To explore the acceptance attitude of elderly care robots based on value perception among community⁃dwelling middle aged and older adults. Methods:Semi⁃structured interviews were conducted with 32 cases of middle⁃aged and older adults in the community, and the data were analyzed using substantive and theoretical codes from classical grounded theory, and the Glaser's "6Cs" coding family. Results:A total of 9 maìn categories were obtained, the core category is the value perception of elderly care robots, including expected value ard perceived value.By comparing expected value and perceived value, four acceptance attitudes have beenformed. The practical needs of smart elderly care, personal needs, elderly care concepts, human⁃machine trust, perception of vulnerable identity, robot elements, and support integration paths can be regarded as influencing factors for the value perception andacceptance attitude of middle⁃aged and elderly people. Conclusions:This study constructed a theoretical framework of the acceptance attitude of elderly care robots based on value perception, and provided a theoretical basis for guiding the integration of robots into elderly life.
