Abstract：Asa backup support area for further deepening the achievementsof“engaging 3OOmillion people to participate in iceand snow sports”，Northwest China has superior natural iceand snow conditions and great potential for ice and snow industry development.Strengthening the research on theconstruction of ice and snow sports venuesand policy correlation in Northwest China is conducive to promoting the sustainable developmentof ice and snow economy in Northwest China.Using the literature method and ArcGIS spatial analysis method，this paper studies thespatialdistributioncharacteristicsanddriving factorsof107iceand snow sports venues in Northwest China.The results show thatthe ice and snow sports venues in Northwest China present an agglomeration distribution patern of“one core，two centers，and one dense distribution belt"；the venuedistribution isclosely related tothe spatial coupling of natural geographical conditions and socioeconomic factors;the venuesare signifcantlydistributedalong low-temperature environmentareas，theYelowRiverand its tributaries，economiccentralcitiesandnationalhighways.Itissuggestedtooptimize thespatiallayout，implement

a differentiated site selection strategy，and build an "ecology-economy”collaborative development model; empowerindustrialupgradingwithtechnology to promote green and low-carbon development;deepen industrial integration to expand the ice and snow

economic value chain;strengthenpolicycoordination to break through development bottenecks，soas to help the vigorous development of ice and snow sports undertakingsin Northwest China.
