Qualitative study of caregiving experience of caregivers of patients with urostomy

Abstract：Objective：Toexplorethecaregiving experienceofcaregivers of patients withurinarytractstomaand providea basis for formulating targeted nursing intervention measures in clinical practice.Methods：Aphenomenologicalresearch method was adopted toconductsemi-structured interviews with the main caregivers of 1O patients withurinarytract stoma admitedtotheurologydepartmentofatertiarygradeAhospital inAnhuiProvincefromJanuarytoDecember 2023.The interviewdata were sortedand analyzed using the Colaizzi seven-stepanalysis methodand the themes were extracted. Results：A total of four themes were summarized：multiple caregiving pressures of caregivers，inconsistentcaregiving levels，diferentiatedcaregivingcogitivelevels，iitedesoureutilatioanddesireforsupport.Conclusion;Caregives of patients with urinary tract stoma face multiple presuressuch asphysical，psychological and economic duringthecare process.Meanwhile，due to the limitations ofresourceutilizationand diferences incognitive levels，thequalityof care varies.Nursing staf should attach greatimportancetothephysicaland mental healthofcaregivers.Through intervention measures such asskilstraining，psychologicalcounseling，familyand socialsupport，theyshouldhelpcaregiversrelieve the pressureofcare，builda communitysupport network led byspecialized nurses，and provide standardized and fullprocess stoma care guidance to optimize care practice.
