AbstractThe mechanicalstrengthofsesamestalkws testedduringfloweringandcapsularstage,andcoelationanalysisandmultiplere gresionanalysiswerepeforedonteshapeofssamestalkinteodelength,iameterfreshweight,dryweightandplanthighrbological yield.Teresultssowedthattestemmechanicalstrengthofsamesteasnegativelycorelatedwithtelngthofinterode.Testemechanicaltegthofozdtaielatoithtedelhdtelyatatie tionwithte6thiteodengtheehancalstregthofssaestdpositivecoelationwiinteodedameernduozi. stemmechanicaltregthadsigicantposiiecoelatioitdameerofteddthitedameeileLuozioada significant positive correlation with diameter of the 2nd,4th and 5th internods,and extremely significant level with diameter of the 3rd internode.Themechancaltrengthofsesamestwaspositivelyorelatedwithtefreshweightofachinteode,LuoziNo.21stemmhanical strengthassifatlosilelatedirshtfthtede,luoNasifantli latedwiththefreshweightoftendinteode.Tereasaposiecorelationtwenstemmechanicalstrengthandinteodedryweigt, andtherewasasignifcantposiecoelationbetweenstemmechanicalstrengthndtenditeodedryeightofLuoziNo.2.Itepro duction of sesame,should choose the varieties with high plants and thick stems.
