Abstract:ThesateliteterminalpositioningtechnologybasedonSignalsofOpportunity(SoOP)leveragesdownlinksignalsfrom communicationsateliestachveautonomoususernavigationinscenarioshereGlobalNavigationSatellte ystem(GS)sigals areunavailable.Inrecentyears,withtherapiddeploymentofLowEarthOrbit(LEO)satellteconstelationssuchasStarlink,OneWeb,and Iridium,SoOPhasainedaccesstoincreasinglydiverseandabundantsignalresources,significantlyenhancingtherobustnessofpositioingandnavigationsystems.ThispaperfirstintroducesthefundamentalprinciplesofSoOP,thenaalyzestypicalpositioningmethodsbasedonobservablequantiessuchasDopplershiftforrepresentativeLEOconstelltions.Itfurtherprovidsasysteaticcomparisonofthpositioingacuacyndperformanceofvariousmehods,andfialldiscusesthecurenttchicalchllnges and future development trends in the field.
