Abstract:The bonding strength ofordinary emulsifiedasphaltis insuficient tomeet therequirementsof preventive maintenance or cold mixing and cold paving.SBS modifiedemulsifedasphalt (SBS-Emu)was prepared by modifying first and thenemulsifying.TheefectsofSSmodifier,activatedcros-lnker,emulsifierand stabilizercontenton SBS-Emu storage stability,particle size distribution androad performance based on emulsified asphalt performance graded (EPG)system were investigated.Theresultsshowthatthestorage stabilityofSBS-Emu deteriorates withtheincreaseofSBScontentandbecomes betterwiththeincreaseofemulsionstabilizerandemulsifierscontent.Activatedcross-lnkerscanimprove thestorage stabilityof emulsifiedasphalt withincertain limits.Thehigh-temperatureperformanceandlow-temperatureperformanceof SBSEmuincreases withtheincreaseof SBS content.Croslinking stabilizerscan improve the high-temperature performanceand low-temperature performanceof SBS-Emuinacertainconcentrationrange.The high temperatureperformanceisthebest when the content is 1.5% ,and the low temperature performance is the best when the content is 1.0% .The low temperature performance ofSBS-Emuisimproved with increasing emulsifiercontent,andtheexcesivecontent isunfavorabletothe high temperature performance.Emulsionstabilizer has litle efectonthehigh temperatureperformanceandlow temperatureperformance of SBS-Emu.
