Abstract: The effect of mitigating S2- inhibition in anammox process was investigated on the basis of the preparation and structural characterization of Fe-BTC. The results demonstrate that 150mg/L sulfide significantly inhibits the anammox system, leading to a 48.82% reduction in total nitrogen removal effciency. Fe-BTC exhibits a promising ability to alleviate sulfide inhibition in the anammox process. When the dosage is 1g/L ,the ammonium removal eficiency is increased by 32.9% , and the ammonium removal rate is enhanced by 1.75 times,achieving a fTNRE of 80.69% ,which is 1. 18 times higherthanthatofthecontrol group.TheadditionofFe-BTCacelerates theremovalof sulfidethrough chemicalreactions, thereby reducing the duration of S2- inhibition.Additionally,the content of EPS increases,with PN rising by 15.8% and PS by 14.2% . The cytochrome c content is increased by 38.80% . The increase of system capacitance and exchange current density ehances theelectrochemical characteristics of thereaction system,reduces theelectron transferresistanceof thereaction process,and improves the metabolic activity of anammox bacteria.
