环保型非离子表面活性剂在苯乙烯-丙烯酸丁酯乳液聚合中的应用

Abstract:Toaddressing theenvironmentalconcernsof alkylphenol ethoxylates emulsifiers,thecompositeemulsifiersystems were obtained by compoundingtwo commonly used anionic emulsifiers,sodium dodecylsulfateand sodiumaliphatic polyoxyethylene ether sulfate (AES)with two green nonionic emulsifiers,cardanol polyoxyethylene etherand isotridecanol polyoxyethylene ether(X-1OO),respectively.Withthe compositeemulsifiers,the poly(styrene-acrylate)emulsions were prepared by semi-continuous emulsion polymerization,the efects of the type of compositeemulsifier,theratioof anionic/nonionic emulsifier andthe amount of emulsifieron the polymerization stabilityandthe hydrophobic properties of the latex films were investigated.The results showed that when theratio of AES to X-10O was 1:2 and the emulsifier dosage was 2% of the total amount of monomers, the resulting poly( styrene-acrylate)emulsion had the best overall performance.Under the optimal condition,the monomer conversion of emulsion polymerization is higher than 96 % ,the gelation yield is lower than 0.5% ,the average particle size of latex particles is 123nm ,the polymer emulsion is with good stability,especially the stability to calcium ions is excellnt, and the water absorption ratio of the latex film is 2.48% ,the water contact angle is 76.79∘ :
