Abstract:Inorder toimprove electrocatalyticreductioneficiencyofcarbondioxideto formicacidand mitigateatmosphericcarbon dioxide concentration,a series of composites containing diffrent ratios of copper-bismuth were prepared using the salt template method.The introduction of sodium chloride facilitated the formation of oxygen defects and enhanced the electrochemical performance of the catalysts. The Cu1Bi18.2Ox catalyst shows a formic acid Faradaic efficiency of 99.4%at -1.O V vs. RHE. Additionally, Cu1Bi18.2Ox exhibits the largest electrochemical active surface area and reduced charge transfer resistance,and maintains a formic acid Faradaic efciency above 95% (204号 after 34 hours ofoperation.This research provides new insights into theapplication of the salt-templatemethod for catalyst preparation and offrs an effective catalyst for the electrocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide.
