Abstract:Traditionalammoniasynthesis process relies on fosil energy with low elementutilization,highcarbon emission,and poor economic benefits.A new ammonia synthesis process was proposed based on solid oxide electrolysis of water hydrogen production to enhance energy eficiency and decrease carbon emision. Through modeling, simulation,energy integrationand performance analysis,the technical,economic,and environmental advantages of the new process were evaluated by comparing to the traditional process. The results showthat the utilization rates of hydrogen and nitrogen are 92.59% and 90.50% ,respectively,and the energy efficiency is 72.19% ,which is higher than that of the traditional process. The production cost of the new process is 3 442.8 CNY·t-1 . Despite not providing economicadvantages the current market conditions,with the implementationofacarbon taxand the advancement of renewable energy,the cost can be reduced to 2 380.5 CNY·t-1 when the electricity price decreases to 0.1 (2号 CNY ,which is lower than the cost of the traditional process.In addition,the new process does not directly produce CO2 during production,which makes it highly promising for future development.
